Proclamation to Expand Call of Special Legisltive Session JACKSON—Gov. Phil Bryant today issued a proclamation expanding the call of the special legislative session convened today at 1:30 p.m. The expanded call allows lawmakers to consider funding measures for the Mississippi Department of Transportation and for the Office of State Aid Road Construction. These two issues will be considered in addition to the bills to provide additional Assistant District Attorneys, which are the subject of the governor’s original special session call. The special legislative session, including the topics to be addressed by the expanded call, is concurrent with the ongoing regular legislative session. “At the request of Speaker Gunn and Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves, I am expanding the call of the special legislative session so lawmakers may also consider funding measures for MDOT and the Office of State Aid Road Construction,” Gov. Phil Bryant said. “I hope that this expanded call will allow the Legislature to resolve its outstanding business swiftly.”
